Are you looking to make extra money, and be a service for children in need? Consider being a part of this growing field, as a Professional Child Visitation Monitor. The role of the Professional Child Visitation Monitor is to be a neutral party who observes behavior. In this Standard 5.20, 24 hour training, you will be thoroughly trained to be an Independent Professional Monitor or register with a Monitoring Agency. Your training will include monitor procedures, visitation techniques, child abuse reporting, stages of child development, codes and standards, preparing reports and declarations, handling subpoenas, and marketing your business. The Training will consist of lecture, training videos, and role playing. The Court orders a Professional Monitor to accompany a minor child and their non-custodial parent, for various reasons. Your service will allow the custodial parent the reassurance that the child’s physical and emotional safety is being provided for. You will receive a Certificate of Education from the instructor.

Mandatory Requirements of Child Monitors:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a Livescan done or be registered with Trustline
- Have no record of a conviction for driving under the influence (DUI) within the last five (5) years
- Not have been on probation or parole for the last 10 years
- Have no record of a conviction for child molestation, child abuse, or other crimes against a person
- Have proof of automobile insurance if transporting the child
- Have no civil, criminal, or juvenile restraining orders within the last 10 years
- Have no current or past court order in which the provider is the person being supervised
- Be able to speak the language of the party being supervised and of the child, or the provider must provide a neutral interpreter over 18 years of age who is able to do so
- Agree to adhere to and enforce the court order regarding  supervised visitations

- 24 Hours of Supervised Visitation Training (classroom)
- Certificate of Completion
- Child Visitation Training Manual

- Forms To Help You Get Started With Your Business
- Information On How To Market Your Business
- Live Classroom Curriculum
- Role Play
- Monitor Essentials Starter Packet
- Snacks, Water & Coffee


Course Covers:
- Rules of The Court 
- Family and Juvenile Law Basics
- Do`s and Don`ts of the Industry
- Child Abuse Reporting Laws
- Sexual Abuse, Substance Abuse and Mental Illness; it`s impact on Visitations
- Cultural Sensitivity; Working with Families of Various Backgrounds, Customs and Traditions
- Working with the Courts, Attorneys and Parents
- Intake Interviews; Screening of Visitations, clients and Gathering Appropriate Documents
- Safety & Security Procedures
- Marketing; Business Operations and Obtaining Clients for Long Term Success

Monitors must complete:
- All Reading Materials
- Course Work
- Livescan, Background Check or be Registered with Trustline
- Final Exam
- Final phone interview upon receiving Trustline Clearance
